Assembled in USA

Sentek Dynamics recently shipped its first “Assembled in the USA” vibration testing system. The 32 kN system was assembled with components sourced from foreign and domestic suppliers at our Kannapolis, North Carolina facility. Once the system was assembled, our in-house team put the system through a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) to ensure compliance with published specifications for a shaker in that size category. This effort confirmed Sentek Dynamics’ capabilities to create parts kits in addition to assembling and testing a final product in North Carolina.

How To Set Up a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Frequency Study

Engineering teams can utilize finite element analysis (FEA) to simulate mode shapes, resonant frequencies, stiffness, and strength visualizations to help optimize the structural design and minimize costs. The accuracy of the estimated predictions from FEA is dependent on the assumptions made during modeling and analysis and might vary from real-world test data. This article will cover how to set up an FEA frequency study of a simple flat plate fastened at its center.
