Sentek Dynamics is seeking an Application Engineer for post sales efforts! Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role requires mechanical/technical expertise combined with organized, outstanding presentation and communication skills in English and Mandarin.

Who We Are
We are a startup company targeting the local, national and international mechanical vibration and environmental testing market. Our target market includes Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Energy and Medical industries. 

Our Application Engineer must strike a balance between mechanical know-how and fine-tuned, customer facing savvy. They must be able to implement principles of brand ambassadorship, including calling on customers, product installation and all post-sale support. FEA fixture design experience is a plus and clear, concise command of the English language is absolutely necessary for this customer facing role.

Job Duties

  • Support existing product installations (post sale)

  • Support new product installations (including installation)

  • Design Vibration Test Fixturing

  • Provide support to management team in the sales process as the technical product resource

  • Attend product (hardware/software) demonstrations to provide potential customers with details about the features and capabilities Sentek products

  • Engage customers, understand the customer needs and identify the solutions to the customer with our product offering

  • Make technical presentations to potential customers, via both web presentations and on-site presentations, as required

  • Support basic marketing efforts

  • Provide the first line of support to existing customers

  • Act as product expert within the organization

  • Aid the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets

  • Travel up to 25 %


  • BS, MS or equivalent in physics or mechanical engineering

  • Hands-on mechanical skills are a must!

  • Must be friendly, social, presentable and professional

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin

  • AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS (or equivalent) savvy

  • Vibration testing experience a plus but not necessary

  • Able to commit full time and to start ASAP

Sentek Dynamics is seeking an experienced, hands-on Environmental Test Lab Manager to develop and manage a test lab equipped with Sentek Dynamics’ electrodynamic vibration testing systems, temperature/humidity test chambers, and combined temperature/humidity and vibration (AGREE) chambers.


  • Obtain and maintain accreditation from industry recognized accreditation organizations, e.g., A2LA, for ISO/IEC 17025:2005

  • Manage and lead lab operations to ensure customer requirements are met while demonstrating the features and benefits of Sentek Dynamics’ test equipment.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal personnel for testing and business development.

  • Prepare and execute test procedures for vibration/shock and environmental reliability testing, and prepare required test reports in an organized, professional format.

  • Ensure an accurate, rapid, and efficient testing service of indisputable integrity is provided.

  • Carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to Sentek Dynamics’ policies and procedures, and to exercise good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy in so doing.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or a minimum of five years’ experience working in an environmental test lab in a lead position.

  • Strong background in fixture design, test setup, and operation and maintenance of electrodynamic vibration test systems and environmental test chambers.

  • Familiarity with aerospace/military, commercial and transportation test standards, e.g., Mil-Std, ISTA, IEC, RTCA, etc.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD,  and general computer literacy.

  • Creative and innovative personality with strong organizational, coordination, planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to effectively work multiple projects simultaneously with customers and internal personnel.
